Abstract (EN)

As a result of the developments in technology, the need for energy has increased. At this point, the production and transmission of energy in the most reliable and less lossless way is of vital importance. Energy transmission in Turkey is conduted through the high voltage alternating current. Transmission of high voltage direct current is one of the recent trends in energy transmission. East Black Sea region has a large quantity of production resources. Compared to production, consumption is lower in the region. For this reason; produced energy is transmitted to the west via the transmission lines. However; production surplus may lead to overloading and sometimes regional failures on the transmission line. A HVDC transmission line which would be established as hybrid in East Black Sea region was examined in order to prevent overloading and loses on the transmission lines. In this study, the existing transmission network of East Black Sea Region, from Borçka to Osmanca, was modelled. A HVDC line, in parallel with the same line, was modelled and integrated into the system. All the modellings were done using Digsilent Power Factory 15.2.5 power systems analysis software. Digsilent Power Factory 15.2.5 power systems analysis software is provided by Digsilent through one year free licensed DIgSILENT firm's 'DIG-CP-12992 / DIG-PF-12992-11336' protocol. The system outcomes at different time frames were examined by using actual system parameters. Finally, the effect of the developed HVDC system on the load flow in the present system was determined.
