Abstract (EN)
This study was designed to investigate (i) the effect of provenance on acorn characteristics, (ii) effect of cold stratification and provenance on seed germination performance and (iii) effect of seed size on seed germinaiton, seedling survival and seedling growth. The study showed that seed parameters showed signficant differences among provenances. Cold stratification and provenance affected seed germination, and 60 or 90 days cold stratification prodoced higher germination. The large sized seed showed significant higher germination percentage and higher seedling growth in nursery.
