Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Determination of Genetic Structure of Oriental Spruce ( Picea orientalis ( L ) Link. ) Populations Using by Isozyme Analysis In this study, the genetic variation in 26 natural populations of Oriental spruce (Picea orientalis (L.) Link.) was investigated. In order to proceed on this purpose, the 26 Oriental spruce seed samples and their megagametophyte were collected and used in isozymes analysis. According to Ashton & Braden buffer systems, the analysis were realised using by the LAP and GOT enzymes. It was found that LAP-A and LAP-B enzyme gene loci showed 6 allele types, whiles GOT-A, GOT-B and GOT-C showed 8 alleles types for all populations. Differences between vertical and horizontal levels of the LAP enzyme for all populations are not found to be statistically important. However, some alleles frequencies of the GOT enzyme were statistically different for only horizontal levels. The average percentage of polymorphic loci, the number of alleles / locus, the number of alleles and genetic distance for all populations were 76.17, 2.17, 10.8 and 0.1759 respectively. It may be concluded that some populations of Oriental spruce have more variations than expected and there are important differences between populations in terms of genetic distance.
