Abstract (EN)
It is important that the concrete is resistant to the harmful effects it encounters during its service period. The low tensile stress behavior of concrete is enhanced by reinforcement. However, the risk of corrosion of the reinforcement embedded in the concrete may adversely affect this important feature. Corrosion of the reinforcement causes negative effects of the entire system, especially the carrying capacity. In this study, the effect of the use of corrosion inhibitors on the corrosion that may occur in reinforcement and the adherence between concrete and reinforcement was investigated. In the study, concrete cube samples of 15x15x15 cm were produced. The bond strength between concrete and reinforcement was tested on cubic reinforced concrete specimens. In addition, in the study, fresh-salt water curing was applied at 20±2 ℃, for 7, 28, 90 and 180 days, on the samples in which 1% of the cement by weight calcium nitrate-based corrosion inhibitor was used. Half-cell corrosion potential measurement tests were applied to measure the shrinkage-extraction and corrosion behavior of the test samples to determine the adherence properties. As a result of the study, it was determined that the corrosion formation was slower in the samples with corrosion inhibitor than the samples without corrosion inhibitor. It was determined that the adherence between concrete and reinforcement decreased with the effect of corrosion, and the adhesion between concrete and reinforcement increased in the samples using corrosion inhibitor.
