Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to examine the general structure, activities, types of ethnosports, and development efforts of the World Ethnosport Confederation, which was established in 2016. The study involved literature review and in-depth analysis of field writings. This research aims to examine the establishment purpose, structure, organization, participating ethnos-ports, festivals, international relations, and agreements with institutions and stakeholders of the World Ethnosport Confederation, which has a wide network that brings together ethnosports and historical physical activities under a single roof. As a result of the rese-arch, potential activities that would support the development of the World Ethnosport Confederation in Turkey and other member countries are listed, with specific recommen-dations for grassroots expansion in Turkey.
