Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to categorize the gastronomy museums in the world according to their themes and to make comparative analysis and to reveal the applicability of gastronomy museums in Turkey with examples in Turkey. The universe of the research constitutes all the gastronomy museums in the world. The sample of the study is the world gastronomy museums with an official website in line with the purpose of the sample. In this context, content analysis was performed on official websites of world gastronomy museums. As a result of the content analysis, the data obtained were compared with each other and the applicability of gastronomy museums that were not established in Turkey were revealed in Turkey. As a result of the research, it was concluded that most of the world gastronomy museums do not have an official website, and those who have official websites have some deficiencies on the official websites. In addition, it was concluded that the vegetables and fruit museums, salt museums and Sugar Beet Museum, which have samples in the world, are not found in Turkey and suggestions were made regarding the applicability of these museums in Turkey.
