A research on the economic and sectoral effects of COVID-19 in the world and in Turkey

People have faced and struggled with various epidemic diseases since the past. While some of the epidemic diseases that occuronly affect that region, some of them Show their effects on a global scale in all countries of the world. Today, we are fighting the COVID-19 epidemic, which we have been fighting since December 2019. The epidemic, which occurredun expectedly, has affected all the countries of the world. The rapidspread of this global epidemic, which caused the death of millions of people, caused countries to take precautions and precautions. This situational so caused disruptions in the economic order. Uncertainties about when the virüs will end, on the other hand, have create duncertainties in the fields of investment, consumption and trade in countries. In the face of these uncertainties, simultaneousdem and supply shocks were experienced and the global economy became stagnant due to the shocks. Economic policies and measures implemented by governments during the epidemic process had direct effects. In this study, it has been mentioned what the epidemic diseases that human beings have faced since the past and their economic effects, and the economic and sectoral effects of COVID-19 in Turkey and in the world. In addition, policies and measures that occurred during the epidemic process, literatüre reviews of academic studies in the world and in Turkey are included. The aim of our study is to investigate the effects of the pandemic on the economy and the measures and measures taken.
