Abstract (EN)

In terms of both theory and practicality,Privatization in the 1980s stood out as a tool for the political economy and it became one of the most debated issues of the time. The executions of privatization which first started in America and Britain were put into practise in both Eastern European and developing counties subsequently. In this thesis/paper, we have tried to asses the effectiveness of these execution before and after the privatization which is based on the exponents of the privatization practices taken place in both developed and developing countries including Turkey.According to the results of the studies;the executions of privatization have almost been completed in all of the Developed countries. In both free market economy and the competitive environment The privatized Institutions have shown to operate efficiently while protecting the consumer rights. The executions for privatizations in both Eastern European and developing countries have still been on progress. The executions of privatization in Turkey which first took place during 1985 can not be regarded as successful in the early years. The operations for privatization have accelerated in the years between 2000-2010.After the privatizations of the KİT, It has been concluded that these institutions have operated more efficiently and their profit margin have increased comparatively prior to the privatization and also they have contributed to the development of the competitive market. It has been noted that the process of privatization in Turkey has not yet been completed/finalized.
