Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of organisational commitment in the effect of emotional capital on intent to leave and job satisfaction. A field study was applied on bank employees operating in Diyarbakır. Bank employees participating in the research were selected by simple random sampling method. Face-to-face survey technique was used in order to a data collection tool. Questionnaires were distributed to 350 bank employees, and the study was carried out with the data of 280 questionnaires that responded and were found suitable for analysis. The obtained data were analyzed using by SPSS and AMOS package programs. It was determined that emotional capital has a negative and significant effect on intent to leave, and the effect on job satisfaction was positive and significant. It was determined that organisational commitment, which is used as a mediator variable in the model, has significant relationships with all three variables. In addition, it was determined that the organisational commitment variable has a full mediation effect between emotional capital and job satisfaction, and between emotional capital and intent to leave.
