Özet (EN)

The aim of this study; is to examine the exercise addiction levels of women who exercise regularly. In the study, the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. This study was carried out with the voluntary participation of 252 women who are members of sports centers and women's cultural centers affıliated to Çorum Municipality Youth and Sports Services Directorate. In order to determine the exercise addiction levels of women, Exercise Addiction Scale-21 (EBÖ-21) and a demographic information form with 10 questions including personal information were applied. Microsoft Office Excel in classifying demographic information form data with EBÖ-21, IBMSPSS v26.0 statistical analysis package program was used in the analysis, signifıcance level was determined as p<0,05. The normality evaluation of the obtained data was made according to the Skewness and Kurtosis values, and it was assumed that the data were normally distributed, since the data was between -2 and +2. Independent-Samples t-Test was used for pairwise comparisons and One-Way ANOVA test was used for multiple comparisons, and Post-Hoc (Gabriel, Games-Howell) analysis was used to determine the source of the difference in cases where the differece was significant. Pearson Correlation Analysis was used to determine the level of relationship between EBÖ-21 and demographic variables. When statistical analyzes are examined; of the 252 women who participated in the study, 150 (%60) were asymptomatic, 97 (%38) were symptomatic, and 5 (%2) were exercise dependent. Among the criteria of exercise addicded, TK (tolerance criterion) and EKEK (exercise withdrawal symptom criteria) were at symptomatic level, NEK(intent effect criterion), KKK (control loss criterion), ZK (time criterion), DAAK (criterion for reducing other activities) and DK (continuance criterion) were at asymptomatic levels, when the EBÖ-TP (exercise addiction scale total score) average was examined,it was determined that it was at an asymptomatic level. It can be said that women are physiologically addicded, since TK and EKEK are symptomatic. When the situation between the EBÖ-TP average and demographic information variables is examined, a significant difference was found between the YG (age group), ÖD (education status), HES (weekly exercise frequency), GES (daily exercise time) and EBT (exercise addiction attitude) variables and the EBÖ-TP average (p<0,05). There was no signifıcant difference in the variables of ÜCT (monthly sports fee), ET(type of exercise), EY (year of exercise), BGM (state of satisfaction with bodily appearance) and EBN (Reason for starting exercise) (p>0,05). Looking at the Pearson correlation analysis; a signifıcant positive correlation was found between EBÖ-TP and YG, HES, GES and a negative significant relationship between EBÖ-TP and ÖD, EBT. As a result, it was seen that 60% of the women participating in the study were not exercise addicts, 38% were at risk of exercise addiction and 2% were exercise addicts. At the same time, it can be said that women are physiologically addicted to exercise (TK, EKEK=symptomatic). It has been determined that the specified demographic variables (YG, ÖD, HES, GES, EBT) affect the level of exercise addiction. It was concluded that other demographic variables (ÜCT, ET, EY, BGM, EBN) did not affect the level of exercise addiction.
