The effect student'performance of aplication of hands-on acti̇vi̇ti̇es to the field of algebra in middle school 7 th grade mathemati̇cs teachi̇ng

The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of the education done with hands-on activities success and attitude of students on 7. grade algebra lower learning field. The study is a semi experimental pre-test, post-test designed study. During the application, while courses were given through worksheets and materials that consist hands-on activities in experimental group of Mathematics, an education method was used through traditional presentation in control group. The research has been carried out among the 62 7. grade students in Secondary School within Manavgat, Antalya. In order to gather the data mathematics achievement test and attitude scale was used. The obtained data, has been scored and analyzed by the researcher according a pre-prepared rating scale. According to the analysis results, it has been identified that the education done with hands-on activities is more successful than the traditional education method in increasing Math success and the attitude towards Mathematics.
