This research was made to search the applicability of using the Aegean region folksongs as a lesson material for the education of Kabak Kemane which is being performed atAfyonkarahisar Kocatepe University, State Conservatoire, Department of Turkish Folk Musicand for the purpose of using the new materials in the repertoire of Kabak Kemane.At the first part, the information about the main point of the topic;music, Turkish FolkMusic, Turkish Folk Instruments, Aegean Region Folk Songs and Kabak Kemane was given,the problem was identified and the importance of the research and the studies which are aboutthis topic were investigated.At the second part, the method of the research was identified, the folk songs whichwill be used as a lesson material were determined and the detailed information about this wasgiven. At the research which was enriched with the opinions of specialists, opinions ofspecialists which are about the topic were consulted by the method of interview and this wasgiven as a chart in the part of symptoms at the third part. As a result, the data which is aboutthe folk songs used as a lesson material was evaluated and suggestions were made in thedirection of to be a source for all instutions which will perform this lesson.
