Determinations on views of educators related to their unions

Unions are the non- profit organizations of which aim is to develop their members' social and economic positions and their working conditions.On this research ; it has been trying to demonstrate teachers' expectations and views related to the unions in accordance with their descriptions and acquisitions. The population of this study has been formed with assistant principals and teachers working in state schools in İstanbul.For the research ; the participants -working in education sector - were selected among the unions whose number of members are remarkably higher than the others such as Eğitim-Bir-Sen,Türk Eğitim-Sen,Eğitim-Sen,Eğitim-İş (according to statistics in July 2018 by AÇSHB published in Official Newspaper of Turkish Republic) Quantitative research method has been used for the study.Six-semi-structured question developed by the researcher have been directed to the participantsThe data obtained from the study has been analysed with content analysis. One of the notable result of the report is those unions which are getting into the act of educational area have to work co-operatively for obstacles faced in education field. and should have effective communication with diversified NGOs about their members' socio- economical and personal rights . The other considerable outcome of the report is before becomig member of a union employees working at schools should read guideline of the union,.it is also better to be aware of its actions, acquisitions scope of unions.On taking all these factors into consideration An employee should become a member of a union.
