Corporate culture in educational institutions and school administrators' level of competence in creating corporate culture ( A study on educational institutions in Besni, Adıyaman)

Abstract (EN)
This study is done for the purpose of revealing the structure of corporate culture of educational institutions, and evaluating them by measuring proficiency levels of school administrators according to the certain variables in creating the corporate culture.The population of the study consists of 925 teachers who work in the schools in Besni District of Adıyaman Province in 2012 ? 2013 academic year.The sample of the study consists of 320 teachers chosen by ? the random (random) sample method? in this population. The medhods of study?s data collection are "Personal Information Form", "School Culture Scale" and ?Proficiency Levels of School Administrators Creating Corporate Culture Scale ". It is tried to answer two sub-problems at this study. Different analyzes is used for solving the datas about the sub-problems. By arithmetic average and standard deviation out of descriptive statistics and "t-test" and "One-Way Analysis of Variance ANOVA" are used. Findings of the study can be summarized as follows. While most of the teachers think they understand the corporate objectives of the school enough, their personalities are respected at school, their knowledge and skills are trusted, and they see themselves as a member of the school; some of them believe there is a conflict among colleagues at a low level in their schools, the teachers with original ideas and productives are not rewarded, the awards are not given according to the teachers? success, and not interested in all the teachers. The participants think while the school administrators are sufficient enough to use spoken and written language, to establish the spirit of team, to accept the teachers as colleague, to interpretate the rules and values of the school, to create the common password of the school; they are not sufficient enough to inculsive the new coming students and teachers, to organize traditional ceremonies, and create the social and professional solidarity. It is understood there is no significiant difference among the gender, branch and the schools they are working when both teachers? and school administrators? perceptions about the professional level in creating corporate culture are compared to their demographic and professional characteristics. It is noticed that there is a significant difference in the variable age and years of service.
