Abstract (EN)
Public expenditures have an important place in the economic activities of countries. The improvement of the welfare level, technological progress and population growth increase the importance of the state. In this thesis, the importance of public expenditures in terms of countries has been pointed out, and education, health and military expenditures, which have an important place in expenditures, have been examined and whether they have effects on the economy of the countries. In this context, Pedroni and Kao Cointegration Tests and Panel Causality Test were used to test the relationship between Economic Growth and Education Expenditures, Health Expenditures and Miltary Expenditures variables in G20 countries between 1995-2018. In the study, LLC (Levin, Lin, Chu) and Im, Peseran, Shin unit root tests were applied. According to the test results obtained; while there was a bidirectional causality relationship between health expenditures and economic growth in G20 countries between 1995 and 2018, a unidirectional causality relationship was found from military expenditures to economic growth. No causality was found between education expenditures and economic growth.
