Abstract (EN)

Axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) motors, which are also used in wind energy systems, which are among renewable energy sources, are one of the motors that stand out in applications with their high power torque and adaptability to variable wind speed. While designing this motor type used in this study, reference motor parameter values were entered from the Rmxprt module in the Ansys Maxwell program and numerical analyzes were made using the finite element method (FEM). By changing the stator groove parameters of the designed motor as a result of the analysis, 16 experiments were carried out using the Taguchi design method and the L-16 orthogonal array with five factors and four levels. Optimization values were determined with the help of Minitab program for the lowest cogging torque, highest power and efficiency value of the engine and analyzes were made again in Ansys Maxwell program. From the results obtained, the best values of the motor were found according to the different combinations of the modified stator groove parameters of the optimized motor. The engine's cogging torque value was improved by 57.07%, power value by 28.86% and efficiency value by 8.90%.
