Abstract (EN)
The text discusses the magnificent developments in the field of "Rhetoric," which is an important branch of Arabic rhetoric. This science focuses on improving and embellishing language and texts. Abdullah bin Mu'taz laid strong foundations for the science of rhetoric, and Ibn Khaldun considered rhetoric as the improvement and ornamentation of language and texts. The science of rhetoric is essentially divided into two main branches: verbal (related to sound) rhetoric and moral (related to meaning) rhetoric. The first group includes methods such as analogy, expression, and exaggeration, while the second group focuses on improving the meanings and ideas in text. The poet Abu Tammam's verses contain many rhetorical elements, enhancing the aesthetic value of poetry. Abu Tammam understands rhetoric as renewal and innovation in poetry in a new and creative way, distinguishing it from the old understanding of rhetoric that was associated with traditional rules of rhetoric and prevailing literary styles. The text emphasizes the intellectual debate resulting from the diversity of opinions about innovation and rhetorical improvements, confirming that this diversity reflects the evolution and renewal in Arabic literature throughout the ages.
