In recent years, scattering of electromagnetic waves from metallic objects has become important in many military and civilian fields. For example, in automative radars, this is required when calculating reflections from other vehicles in the vicinity. This thesis aims to quickly calculate the electromagnetic fields scattered from conducting objects when geometric models of objects are made with rectangular plates. The main method for this will be to use the rules of physical optics. The physical optics is known as an asymptotic technique and it is a fast and acceptably accurate method. First, the scattering of electromagnetic waves from a rectangular plate will be calculated. Then the scattering will be carried out quickly using a geometric model created from rectangular plates in the MATLAB environment. When an object modeled from rectangular plates is loaded into the system and the type of wave sent to these plates is given as input to the system, the aim is to obtain a software that will calculate the electric field strength of the electromagnetic wave scattered in any direction and give this value as output. As a starting point, the formulas developed for an incident wave on a simple plate from a fixed direction [22] are used. Additionally, in this thesis, scattering from a cumulative object consisting of many plates and illuminated from a random direction will be modeled.
