Abstract (EN)
In this study, electrochemical hard chromium plated to the barrel and firing pin parts of the pistol which have ballistically importance. Coating variables were modified to provide better quality coatings and work to help develop pistols with longer service life. After hard chrome coating to the barrel and firing pin of the pis- tol, it has been tested according to the NATO test specifications. It has been shown that in the tests performed, the ballistic performance of the gun is greatly increased compared to the coating before. After hard chromium plated to the barrel and firing pin of the pistol, it has been shown that malfunction rate of the pistol decreased, ac- curacy increased, service life increased and muzzle velocity increased.
