Abstract (EN)

This thesis examines the recovery process of valuable metals contained in electronic waste (e-waste) and the environmental and economic impacts of this process. With the advancement of technology and the increasing use of consumer electronics, the volume of electronic waste is rapidly rising, placing significant pressure on natural resources and the environment. E-waste contains valuable metals such as gold, silver, platinum, copper, and palladium, and recovering these metals presents a substantial opportunity for both environmental protection and economic sustainability. The thesis emphasizes that the recycling of electronic waste can reduce the demand for traditional mining activities, conserve energy, and help preserve natural resources. Additionally, the economic value of recovered metals contributes to the growth potential of the recycling industry, providing economic benefits. These processes are crucial for reducing the environmental footprint and reintroducing valuable resources into the economy. The study proposes strategies for improving recycling technologies, enhancing waste collection systems, and raising public awareness about electronic waste, thereby suggesting ways to make recovery processes more efficient. In conclusion, effective management of electronic waste and the promotion of recycling play a critical role in both environmental sustainability and economic gain.
