Imperialism theories and Turkish intellectual's perception of imperialism

Classical Marxist Imperialist Theory built its theory of imperialism on the analysis of the stage reached by capitalist development during the nineteenth century. There are views (Lenin-Bukharin) that see imperialism as the highest stage of capitalism, as well as views (Luxemburg), which reveal imperialism as a feature that has always been in capitalism. However, the focus of this theory is limited only to developed capitalist countries. Dependency Theory, on the other hand, examined the dependent economic relations that imperialism has created in "underdeveloped" countries. The processes and countries that both theories focus on show different characteristics. Therefore, the theories they put forward about imperialism also differ. However, the views of Turkish Intellectuals on imperialism contribute to both of these theories, as they are "underdeveloped" country intellectuals. The perspective of the Turkish Intellectual is building a bridge between the Classics and the Dependency Theory.
