Özet (EN)

Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EBK) cause long-term and serious health problems in living things by prevent the regular work of the endocrine system. Bisphenol A (BPA), one of the EBKs, causes some diseases such as diabetes, obesity, infertility and cardiovascular diseases and causes some types of cancer. BPA is existed inner surface of the food and beverage packaging, baby bottles, water bottles, plastic food storage containers, metal canned and other metal products and BPA is released into the product which is in the these materials. In this thesis, MIP based solid phase adsorbent has been developed for the preconcentration of BPA. BPA, methacrylic acid, TRIM, AIBN are used as mold molecule, monomer, crosslinker and polymerization initiator, respectively in the polymer that was obtained by miniemulsion polymerization method. Adsorption and desorption studies were investigated to determine the solid phase extraction conditions of MIP synthesized. The adsorption behavior of MIP nanoparticles was investigated with Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips and Scatchard isotherm models and it was observed that MIP's BPA adsorption was abided by the Langmuir model. According to Langmuir isotherm model, maximum adsorption capacity of MIP nanoparticles was calculated as 86,207 mg g-1. It was seen that the synthesized MIP adsorbent has a high selectivity to the BPA, according to the results of the selectivity experiments performed by molecules with structural similarity to BPA such as β-Estradiol, estrone, phenol and naphthol. MIP adsorbent was tested in the preconcentration of the BPA in the water sample and recovery values in the range of 81% to 101% were obtained. The results showed that the synthesized MIP was a suitable solid-phase adsorbent in order to eliminate the matrix effect and determine in low concentrations in the BPA determination studies.
