Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the Andalusian Umayyad Caliphate Period between 929-1031 in the Andalusian Umayyad State will be explained. The caliphate period in Andalusia is a process that started with the eighth Umayyad Emir, Abdurrahman III, declaring Andalusia the third caliphate center in 929 and ending with its abolition in 1031 at the end of the Third Hisham period. The first part of our thesis, which we will present in four main sections; 3. The General Situation of the Umayyad State of Andalusia before Abdurrahman (756-912), second part: 3. Abdurrahman Period (912-961), third part: Second Arbitration Period (961-976), and the last part, the Process to Abolish the Caliphate in Andalusia (976-1031). In the 10th century, the Umayyad State of Andalusia, which rose with Abdurrahman the 3rd and his son, Referee 2, would enter the phase of stagnation and then collapse after the administration of the 2nd Hisham and Amiris. After the internal turmoil and crisis in Andalusia in the first quarter of the 11th century, the Umayyad caliphate remained only in and around Cordoba, after various regions and local notables declared their independence. The caliphs who came to power did not care about this situation and did not take any precautions. The people of Cordoba rose up against the Umayyads and the Vizier Ebu Hazm Cehver b. With the support of Muhammad, they abolished the caliphate and expelled the Umayyads from Cordoba, believing that the caliphate had lost its functions and caused more trouble than it was worth. Upon the insistence of the people, Vizier Ebu Hazm Cehver b. Muhammad took over the administration of Cordoba in early 1031. He established the Cehveri dynasty, which included the nearby cities of Cordoba. Thus, the Andalusian people willingly put an end to the caliphate, which they had willingly adopted in 929. Thus, the Umayyad family was erased from the stage of history.
