Abstract (EN)

This study focuses on the usability of industrial hemp by incorporating it into NBR to obtain a composite coating material with a view to improving the protective performance of the polymeric surface coating of industrial work glove that is increasingly used as a preventive equipment against potential risks threatening occupational safety within the widening scope of occupational health and safety, as well as against mechanical risks. While such gloves processed through surface covering are normally tested for abrasion, tear and puncture according to certain standards, this study also involves testing the usage of composite material that is obtained through the combination of industrial hemp at 0.5%, 2%, 3.5% and 5% proportionately into the NBR used as a coating material in line with standards. Furthermore, the composite material containing glass fiber - synthetic material widely used for reinforcement purposes - is also applied to gloves as the coating material on the surface of the textile with a view to comparing the effect of industrial hemp fiber, which is a natural reinforcing fiber. Gloves produced in this way have also been subjected to abrasion, tear and puncture performance tests. The structural features of the composite coating are then tested through SEM, FTIR and TGA. The results obtained reveal that using the coating as a composite enhances the performance against mechanical effects. Furthermore, it was observed that the performance changes depending on the type and amount of reinforcing fiber used and the results achieved are presented in detail.
