Within the framework of energy diplomacy Turkey-Azerbaijan relations

With the Industrial Revolution, energy, whose importance and usage area has increased, is one of the basic tools for the economic development of the states today. Energy has emerged as the most effective power source in the diplomatic field in recent years. Located in the South Caucasus, the state of Azerbaijan gained its independence in 1991. Turkey has been the first state to recognize its independence as the biggest supporter of Azerbaijan, which has a long history. In this direction, diplomatic relations were established between the two states. The study deals with Turkey-Azerbaijan relations within the framework of energy diplomacy. The energy dimension of the relations between Turkey, which is foreign-dependent on energy, and Azerbaijan, which has rich energy resources, is important because of its contributions to the two countries. Energy projects have been implemented as a result of the joint cooperation of the two states, which have a historical and cultural background. Investments, agreements and diplomatic relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of energy have been shaped positively based on energy cooperation. Thus, while Turkey met its energy needs, Azerbaijan also brought its energy resources to world markets and strengthened its economy. Diplomatic relations that develop based on their potential to provide mutual benefit in the field of energy are important in defining the relations between the two countries. Energy is an indispensable element of human life and one of the most important tools for the continuation of development. Turkey-Azerbaijan relations and energy are the most important issues that shape the foreign policy of the two countries. In this direction, an analysis has been made about energy diplomacy, the view of energy in the world, and energy-based pipeline projects between Turkey and Azerbaijan. It is aimed to evaluate the diplomatic relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan within the framework of energy. In the research, the document analysis technique of the qualitative research method was used, and the descriptive research method was used in the interpretation of the data obtained. Foreign and Turkish literature related to the research subject was searched. As a result of the scanned sources, the study was written using the indirect and citation research method.
