Özet (EN)
Increasing population in cities has brought about urban problems such as housing, transportation, infrastructure, security, health, education and environment. Developing technology and changes in lifestyles have increased energy demands, as well as increased expectations of people from the city on the social side of urban life. Smart city models have emerged to solve the social and physical problems of urban life. The living space of the information society, which is today's human generation, must also be smart. The information society is not only aware of the developments in its city, but also closely follows the global developments, establishes a connection from the smallest living space to the planet and even the universe for a sustainable future and a happy life, feels responsibility and wants to contribute to development. As environmental awareness develops, the information society prefers to use the energy resources of its global village, which is its living space, from renewable energy sources and/or fossil fuels that do not harm the environment. As humanity fails in its environmental struggle, it will be the coastal regions that will be affected first and most. The aim of this thesis is research that will create a model for coastal areas within the framework of energy efficient smart cities by examining the concepts, components and applications of smart cities, energy efficiency and coastal areas. Keywords: Energy Efficiency, Smart City, Coastal Zone Management, Zero Energy Consumption
