Özet (EN)

As a consequence of the liquefaction event occuring in the soils, damages can occur at an irreversible level, and in this context, it is essential to take the necessary precautions by performing liquefaction analysis within the relevant codes. In our country, the destructive effects of liquefaction have manifested themselves as a result of the Kahramanmaraş earthquake in 2023 and many other earthquakes that caused painful losses. Within the scope of this study, necessary liquefaction analyzes were carried out within the scope of the data belonging to the construction of a building that is planned to be built on a ground with liquefaction potential within the provincial borders of Elazig, and it was decided to eliminate the risk of liquefaction by means of the permeation injection method by evaluating the available possibilities. Permeation injection can be defined as the process of injecting a mortar, the content of its is determined according to the soil properties, into the gaps between the grains without deforming the structure of the soil. It was checked whether the improvement process applied fulfilled its function through the field tests carried out after the improvement process, and it was shown that the risk of liquefaction was eliminated by comparing the pre- and post-improvement situation with the calculations made on these data obtained from the standard penetration test. In this context, a successful remediation process has been demonstrated in this region where access to advanced machinery and vehicle facilities is limited.
