Contextual dictionary of Er Töştük Epic (Noun and verbals)

Epics are narratives that contain the way societies live, tradition, social form, world perception, languages and many other contents. Although it is possible to see the simplest form and ethnic background of the existing language in the epics, the meaning of any word in the sentence may not give the equivalent of the word in the dictionary. Contextual dictionaries on literary texts therefore help to solve this problem. For this purpose, in order to contribute to the existence of the meaning of Kirghiz dictionaries, the most voluminous variant of Er Töştük epic, Sayakbay Karalayev, which is the most voluminous variant of 16445 verses, was determined only by identifying the context of names and simple verbs in the epic, and indicated with statistical data and examples. These (noun and simple verbs) are separated into single and multiple meanings in terms of their meanings and the necessary witnesses and frequencies are given. Detailed examples and the frequencies mentioned in the text are also included in the examination section. In this study, the life and works of the text narrator Sayakbay Karalayev are also mentioned. In the last part of the study, the contextual index of the epic was created by means of the computer infrastructure of TEBDİZ (Turkish Literature Contextual Directories and Functional Dictionary). Purpose of the study; The aim of the course is to determine the rich vocabulary of Kirghiz Turkish, which is part of the North-West Kipchak group of Turkish dialects, to identify Sayakbay Karalayev's world of meaning, to contribute to the existing Kirghiz dictionary, and to create a repository for both style and translation studies. In order to help various researchers who will study Polish and to be the first contextual dictionary on the epic, it was presented to the scientists, considering that it would be useful for researchers working in the field of Kirghiz Turkish and literature.
