Özet (EN)
This research was conducted to examine the relationships between psychological well-being, state anxiety and quiet ego levels of adolescents. The population of the research, designed as a correlational study, consists of 9-12th graders attending high schools in Diyarbakır in the 2023-2024 academic year. The sample includes 1178 students from various high schools, namely Anatolian High School, Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Science High School. Student selection from schools was done using the simple random sampling method. In the study, the data collection tools included a Personal Information Form (PIF), the EPOCH scale, the State Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Quiet Ego Scale (QES). For the data analysis, independent samples t- test was used to examine continuous variables based on the demographic variables and one way analysis of variance (One- Way ANOVA) was conducted to examine the variables with more than two categories. Moderator role analysis was used to determine the relationships between psychological well-being, state anxiety and quiet ego. According to the research results, psychological well-being shows significant differences based on the accessibility of the guidance service, involvement in any art or sport, the number of friends and perceived parental attitude. The level of state anxiety in adolescents indicates differences based on gender, accessibility of the guidance service, previous psychological support from an expert, involvement in any art or sport, age, the number of friends and perceived parental attitude. The level of quiet ego in adolescents signifies significant differences based on gender, working in any job outside school and perceived parental attitude. When the relationships between psychological well-being, state anxiety and quiet ego are examined, it is concluded that there is a moderately significant negative relationship between state anxiety and psychological well-being. Additionally, there is a moderately significant positive relationship between psychological well-being and quiet ego and a weakly significant negative relationship between anxiety and quiet ego. The conducted moderator role analysis indicates that quiet ego does not play a moderating role in the relationship between psychological well-being and state anxiety.
