Özet (EN)

The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between the subjective well-being strategies of adolescents, game addiction, peer relations and their subjective well-being. Throughout the research, Demographic Information Form developed by the researcher, Subjective Well-Being Increasing Strategies Scale (Eryılmaz, 2016), Peer Relations Scale (Kaner, 2020), Internet Gaming Disorder Scale (Arıcak, Dinç, Yay & Griffiths, 2018), and Subjective Well-Being Scale (Eryılmaz, 2009) were used as the data collection tools. The total scores of the scales and the subdimension of the scales are examined according to the demographic variables (sex, type of school, residence area, grade, perceived level of academic achievement). In addition, the research tries to understand how subjective well being strategies, game addiction and peer relations predict the subjective well-being. With the official permission of the İstanbul Provincial Directorate for National Education, 441 students from different high schools in the Beyoğlu district participated. In the data analysis program SPSS 23, t-test, one-way ANOVA and to understand the difference between the groups Post Hoc (Tukey) were used. For the predictors of the subjective well-being multiple regression analysis was made. As a result of the study, it is observed that the increasing strategies of subjective well-being and peer relations are significant predictors of the subjective well-being but there is a low relationship predicting subjective well-being of game addiction, and the relationship was not significant. All predictors together explain the 29 percent of the subjective well- being.
