Abstract (EN)

This study is comprised of results, which are based on observations from Erzurum province researching about and carried out between April 2008 ? November 2009.According to the research carried out 239 species of birds from 51 families were observed.During the April 13, 2008- November 01, 2009 observation periods, research area was monitored at least a week in both summer and winter seasons. Hence, identifion of seasonal movements were carried out for bird species.As a result of observations, research area is stated as an important for birds with regard to habitat diversity. Yet, various negative impacts have caused habitat degeneration reducing bird diversity and threatening wildlife availability in area.During the studies in Erzurum Marshes, the most important negative factors have identified such as drainage canals, grazing, Erzurum airport, urbanization, roads, high voltage lines, poaching, turf and other sources usage, water supply devastation, chemical applications, unplanned recreational activities, temporal accommodations, beekeeping, stone pit, stone collecting, frost and hail events.
