Abstract (EN)
At the present time, home range is extending due to increasing population and current drinking water network systems remain incapable. As the construction costs of drinking water network is too expensive, we should put emphasis on project design criteria of drinking water networks. In addition, appropriate hydraulic calculation and sizing of these drinking water projects will help to diminish the construction costs to optimum level which in turn contribute to the national economy. In this study, Horasan District of Erzurum Province was preferred as a study area. The reason why this region is preferred is that the region's strategic location and the current drinking water cannot meet the need after 30 years. Hydraulic calculations were made by netcad software for the drinking water network by taking into consideration the criteria specified in the Province Bank Technical Provisions. In this study, hydraulic calculations were performed by using poly ethylene, polyvinyl chloride, steel and ductile pipes. In addition, the effect of different pipe types on the cost has been investigated, the most costly pipe among the pipe types is steel, and the lowest cost pipe is poly ethylene pipe.
