The research of teachers secondary schools of Erzurum about the relationship between the level of empathetic tendence on sport and different variables

The aim of this research is the research of teachers in secondary schools of Erzurum about the relationship between the level of empathetic tendence on sport and different variables. 1550 Teachers who works for Ministry of National Education create the world of the research. The sample group consists of totally 320 people, 183 male and 137 famale teachers, who have different branches and work in Ministry of Erzurum National Education. To search the relationship between teachers' empathetic tendency levels and different variables, empathetic tendency scale which belongs to Dökmen (1988) is used. Spss 21 packet programme is used in analysis of datas. Frequency of distribution is used in analysis of datas, T test is used to examine the relationship between two variables, Anowa Waryans tests are used to examine the relationship between more than two variables. Difference between variables are interpreted by considering p. 0,05 significance level. According to findings, it is determined that there is no significant differences between empathetic tendence levels and gender, marial status, personnel cadre condition, sport doing condition, preferences of spending free time. It is observed that there is a significant differences between the tendency of individuals and age, family structure, monthly income condition, kind of the branch, school type, sport type, sport time, sport reason variables. It has been observed that empathetic tendency level of individuals who do team and individual sports is higher than individuals who do not do any sports and empathetic tendency level of individuals whose reason of doing sport is a healthy life and social activity is higher than individuals who do not do sports. It is one of the results that there is no difference according tos port doing conditions. In general, it is observed that teachers who do sports have higher level of empathetic tendency level than teachers who do not do sports.
