Prophet understanding in thought Eş'arî and Maturîdî

The science of theology, which is a doctrine of a wide range of Islamic sciences, consists of three main principles. The prophethood, which is one of these main principles that we call Usûl-u selâse, constitutes our subject. However, our topic is also taken into consideration Eş'arî and Maturîdî examples. The aim of this study is to determine the basic character of the Ahl al-Sunnah understanding of the prophethood of the Ahl al-Sunnah, one of the theological scholars of the so-called Ahl al-Sunnah, the famous followers of the two of them, especially Eş'arî and Maturîdî. This study consists of an introduction and three parts. In the introduction part, information about the purpose, method and scope of the study, as well as the life and scientific personalities of Eş'arî and Maturîdî are discussed. In the first chapter, the concepts related to prophethood are emphasized and a general framework for the prophethood issue is drawn. However, the views of Eş'arî and Maturîdî on the subject are included. In the second part, the views of Eş'arî and Maturîdî about prophethood were evaluated. In the third chapter, the ideas of groups and individuals against prophethood are discussed and the ideas of contemporary Islamic thinkers about prophethood are given along with the answers of Eş'arî and Maturîdî scholars.
