Abstract (EN)
With the political events that developed after the death of the Prophet saint Muhammad (s.a.w.) and the transfer of Islam to the outside of the Arabian Peninsula, many question marks arose in the minds of societies that had just met Islam, and answers to these questions were sought. Then, new thoughts and formations that would become sects began to emerge. In this study, the Mu'tazila sect founded under the leadership of Vâsıl bin Atâ, who left the teaching circle of Hasan-ı Basrî, and the formation of the Ash'ariyya sects that he founded by growing up with the Mu'tazila view until the age of forty, then leaving them and turning to the Ahl al-Sunnah view, and the main differences of opinion will be discussed. For this purpose, in the first part, Mu'tazila and Ash'ariyya will be introduced, the definitions of the concepts to be compared will be given, and in the second part, their differences of opinion and evidence will be mentioned.
