Evaluation of rehabilitation works in Eskisehir province Beyazaltın and Kozlubel villages magnezite mining areas

This study has been discussed in order to analyze the rehabilitation works in two separate magnesite mine sites, which started mining activities in the 1990's and ended in 2015. As the research area, Beyazlatın and Kozlubel magnesite mine fields, which are in the responsibility area of Eskişehir Regional Directorate of Forestry Çatacık Forest Management Directorate Alpu Forestry Operation Chief, were selected. First of all, rehabilitation projects prepared for the Beyazlatın and Kozlubel magnesite mine sites before the mining permit was granted were obtained from the relevant places. After the end of the mining works in the projects, the activities such as land preparation (soil cultivation, terrace forming and fence construction with galvanized wire), planting saplings, maintenance and protection were recorded. At the end of the study, it was concluded that the mining works were not carried out in all of the permit areas, and that activities were carried out outside the permit areas in some parts.
