Abstract (EN)

Time, like all other rights, affects the rights in various ways in the law of carriage of goods with the certain period of time. This effect is sometimes defined as a prescription, sometimes as a lapse of time. However, it can be said in general, enunciation of the rights of law of carriage of goods has been subjected to a short time as one or two years. In this study, regulation of prescription and lapse of time in the rules of the law of carriage of goods by land, rail, sea, and air in national and international area have been examined. In each section, firstly the rules to be applied to the transportation type are determined. After that, considering the basic features of the transportation type and the opinions of the doctrine and the practice; qualification, inception, calculation, cessation, and interruption of the time, results of expration, and the othes issues have been examined in detail. At the same time, general information about prescription and lapse of time is given. The purpose of this study is to comparative examination of the provisions of prescription and lapse of time, which are regulated in disordered rules of law of carriage of goods, under a single heading.
