Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the protective effects of 3-acetyl-6-bromo coumarin molecule against oxidative stress induced by ethyl alcohol in rats were investigated. Four groups were formed in the study. These groups are; Control group (K), Coumarin group (C), Ethyl alcohol group (E) and Coumarin + Ethyl alcohol (CE) group. Coumarin was administered at 5 mg/kg and and also Ethyl alcohol as 5 mg/kg/day. MDA, reduced GSH, AChE, GST, Ces, GR and fatty acids were determined in the liver tissues of rats. When the liver tissue biochemical parameters were examined, the levels of MDA, GSH, Ces, AChE, GST in E group increased compared to the control group. MDA, GSH and Ces levels of the group combined with the effect of coumarin decreased compared to the E group. When the liver tissue fatty acid levels were examined, while the E group 18: 0 fatty acid level increased compared to the K group, 22: 6n3, 18: 2n6, 18: 3n6, 18: 1n9 fatty acid levels decreased relatively. It was observed that CE group unsaturated fatty acid levels increased relative to E group with the effect of coumarin substance. As a result, we think that 3-acetyl-6-bromo coumarin molecule has corrective effects against oxidative stress caused by ethyl alcohol.
