Abstract (EN)

Self-control is that the individual controls his feelings, thoughts and behaviors in a way that can be compatible with his own self and environment. Action identity is the process of understanding and naming the individual's actions. An action can be identified high or low level by the individual. While high -identity actions are more important by the individual, low -identity actions are more worthless for the individual. Individualism is the cultural dimension where the individual is unique and autonomous. Independence is in the forefront of individuals who adopt individualist culture. Society is the culture dimension in which the individual feels loyal and dependent to the group in which he is located. Mutual dependence is in the forefront of individuals who adopt community culture. In the Kağıtçıbaşı model, it is argued that the self-structures of cultures are shaped and that they are affected by different self-structures, and self-requests in Turks; autonomous, relational and autonomous relational. In this context, the aim of this research is to reveal whether the dimensions of social identification and individualism do not predict the self-control dimensions. The research group consists of 548 university students who are studying in Turkey and 424 women and 124 of them are male. In order to collect the data, short self-control scale, behavioral identity form and autonomous relationship self scale were used. In addition, the personal information form prepared by the researcher was used in order to determine the gender, the department they read and the class levels they read. In order to compare more than two groups in the analysis of data, one-way analysis of variance was T-test for comparison of binary groups; In order to determine the procedure relationships between the variables, Pearson Moments multiplication correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were applied. According to the results of the analysis, the level of self-control and individualism was found to differ according to gender and the autonomous relationships of the autonomous relationship with the sub-dimensions of the communityism were found to be significantly differentiated according to gender. According to the results of one -way analysis of variance analysis, individualism is found to be significantly differentiated in the numerical, verbal or equal weight departments of the action identity levels that do not differ significantly according to the departments of the students. In addition, the level of action identity, individualism communism dimensions and self -control of the oxencili did not see the fact that the octigates did not see. As a result of multiple regression analysis, it is seen that the level action identificaiton and the autonomous relational self, one of the sub-dimensions of individualism and collectivism, significantly predict self-control.
