Abstract (EN)

"Anthropomorphism", which can be described the God in the form of human likeness or human characteristics, is as old as human history. Anthropomorphism, which arises when the divine appeal is moving away and which can be described as human-formalism, has emerged in different regions and geographies throughout the history of Islam. This understanding, which is more a projection of the people of the scripture (Jews & Cristians) culture in terms of Islamic civilization is at the same time a result of being influenced by Persian culture, which become evident in the present Khorasan section of Iran, in regions where we can call Afghanistan and Central Asia, starting from the III. century AH. This movement, which reached a level of power that would influence political will in these regions in the VI. century AH was strongly criticized by Fahruddin Razi, who lived in the same period. Razi expressed during his preaching and guidance activities and in his works the mistakes of the followers of this movement. The term "anthropomorphism" is mentioned in the Islamic literature as Comparison, Embodiment, and those who have this understanding are referred to as Moshabbihah or Mojassimah. Bacause of that Qarramiyyah school, which adopts the concept of comparision (tashbih), is included in the scope of our study. Scholars on the Ehl-i Sunnah line always opposed this thoughts who attributed human shapes or categories to Allah and tried to prove that this views were wrong on the nass axis. Fahreddin Râzî, who lived between the VI. and VII century AH is one of the most preeminent figures among these scholars. His views also influenced the subsequent scholarly movements of that time in many ways, For him these comparison movements constitute a serious threat to the Islamic Ummah. In many written works published he tried to prove that the views and understandings of this comparison movements were inconsistent and illogical. In addition, he also wrote individual works expressing rejections against these movements. Our work deals with the struggle, in the framework of one of his most rare works, et-Tefsîru'l-Kebîr (Mefâtihu'l-Gayb), despite the risk Razi has often taken like facing opposition of the political authority of that time. The goal of this work is to make, at least. a contrbution to shed light on the misbelieves that can befall the Islamic Ummah, which is experiencing different divisions also today and to highlight the efforts defending the Ahl-i Sunnah line. Key Words: Râzî, Quran, Anthropomorphism, Comparison, Qarramiya
