Abstract (EN)

Land use types such as Forest, rangeland and tillage impact the soil charactersitics. The study defined the effect of different types of land uses on some hydro-physical and chemical of soil characteristics in a Temperate Region. Forest, pasture and tillage areas were selected from the Agdaci watershed of Bartın Province. The soil samples were collected in 2019 for use in determining several soil characteristics. The 60 soil samples were collected from the research areas. The 20 soil samples were gathered from each area. The 10 soil samples were taken from 0-15 depth and the other 10 soil samples were taken from 15-30 cm depth. The results showed that some soil charactersitics differed due to land use types and correlated to each other. Average highest total nitrogen, soil organic matter (SOM), available potassium, available phosphorus, available water were obtained from forest area taken from 0-15 cm depth, 0.41%, 8.16%, 76.45 kg/da, 4.17 kg/da, 13.82%, respectively. All soil samples were determined as clay. The lowest average SOM and total nitrogen were obtained from tillage soil taken from 15-30 cm depth. The highest positive correlation was found between the permanent wilting point and the soil clay content (r = 0.998). The highest negative correlation was found between the field capacity and the soil sand content (r = -0.851). Particularly, the parameters were favorable in the forest in terms of hydro-physical and chemical of soil characteristics.
