Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of kinesiology taping applied to different regions on sprint, agility and flexibility. The research group of the study consists of 32 male individuals between the ages of 18-38. The descriptive characteristics of the participants and their body mass index (BMI) were determined by taking height and weight measurements. Kinesio taping was applied to quadriceps and gastrocnemius muscles at 4 different times with a pretest-posttest model with a one-week interval. Kinesio Taping (KB) process for data collection; It was first applied to the quadriceps muscle group and then to the gastrocnemius muscles at different times. Measurements for both muscle groups, before the application (1st measurement), 30th minute (2nd measurement), 24th hour (3rd measurement) and 48th hour (4th measurement) after the application. has been made. Sprint measurement; Agility measurement with 30 meter sprint test; Flexibility performance was evaluated by the T test and the sit and reach test. Independent Samples T-Test was used for comparison of normally distributed data, and Mann Whitney U test was used for comparison of non-normally distributed data. Variance analysis, Friedman test and Durbin-Conover test were used in repeated measurements. Cohen's d and eta-square (η2) were used to calculate the effect size of the significant difference. There was no statistically significant difference between the values of sprint, agility and flexibility in the quadriceps and gastrocnemius muscles of kinesio taping (p>0.05). When quadriceps and gastrocnemius muscles were evaluated separately and evaluated, kinesio taping caused a significant increase in agility values in both muscle groups (p <0.05), but did not cause a significant change in flexibility values (p>0.05); There was no significant increase in the quadriceps muscle in sprint performance (p>0.05), while a significant increase was found in the gastrocnemius muscle (p<0.05). In conclusion, it is seen that kinesio taping applied to different muscle groups causes different results in sprint, agility and flexibility values.
