Abstract (EN)

In geotechnical science, soils can safely carry the loads of the structures built on them. Thanks to the soil methods applied on soils with insufficient bearing capacity, new residential areas have been opened in Istanbul, which is the most crowded city in terms of population density. Within the scope of this thesis, an example case belongs to the Bakırköy district of Istanbul. It has been determined that the thick layer of clay and clay layers observed on the ground where it will sit in the Indoor Sports Hall construction project are not suitable for carrying ground stresses. Since the loads coming from the superstructure are carried to the light-bearing filling unit, it was decided to make plastic piles, which is a method of joining on the ground. Three different analyzes were carried out by keeping these networks constant to the lengths of the existing piles, with diameters varying between 45 cm, 80 cm and 65 cm. In the analyses, Mohr-Coulomb soil model was used and the analysis stages and distributions are shown. 45 cm long piles and 80 cm long piles were analyzed at 3.0 meter intervals with a length of 15.0 m, and the reinforced piles up to 65.0 cm planned to be built within the scope of the project were selected as the optimum piles, and the analyzes were carried out on the ground examined and shown on the ground, and the analysis was solved by the finite element method. provided. The final results and settlement values of the piles analyzed by computer program for three different diameter values were analyzed.
