Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of the thesis, it is aimed to obtain the structural behavior of masonry structures modeled using four materials by analytical analysis. In the first part of the thesis, verification (Benchmark) studies in 6 different structures were carried out and the accuracy of the numerical model was confirmed. This thesis deals with a study on three-dimensional finite elements of the ABAQUS software. In the second part, the dynamic behaviors of two and three storey masonry buildings designed according to TBDY-2018 using four materials were determined by using numerical methods for their undamaged, damaged, repaired and strengthened conditions and examined coMParatively. For this purpose, 1992 Erzincan earthquake was taken into account. In the study analysis, different analysis solution strategies and modeling methods were followed and the Concrete Damaged Plasticity (CDP) concrete damage model was used as the concrete model. The stresses in all masonry buildings examined were examined in terms of relative displacements and damage distributions, and the results obtained from the analyzes were evaluated comparatively for each material. Cracking plays an important role in masonry behavior. Therefore, modeling of crack growth is a very important problem in damage simulation. In the last part of the thesis, two different studies were carried out. In the first study, the performance of finite element methods for dynamic crack propagation in single storey masonry buildings was investigated. Three methods are discussed: the extended finite element method (XFEM), the element deletion method, and the CDP model method. With the (XFEM), the propagation of cracks and damage modes were obtained according to various initial crack angles of the single-storey structure, which was modeled as two different materials, subject to increasing earthquake loads. The distribution of the cracks obtained was compared and the damage behavior of the structure under the influence of earthquakes was examined.
