Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to compare the cognitive performances of athletes in sports branches that require open skills and closed skills. In addition, it is a comparison of the cognitive performances of athletes who received head impacts and those who did not. This study included 14 (10%) participants with a mean age of 20.3±2.8 years, body weight of 69.5±4.5 kg, height of 174.4±10.4 cm, and sports age of 7.6±3.4 years. It was carried out with active young participants, 3) of whom were women and 122 (89.7%) of whom were men. First of all, a short form Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was administered to these athletes and their 7 day Total Physical Activity score (MET-min/week) was determined. Then, Stroop Test measurements, consisting of 5 applications and an evaluation card, were performed to determine the cognitive performances of the athletes and the control group. After the measurements, SPSS 21.0 computer program was used for statistical analysis of the data obtained from the athletes. Anova test was used for normally distributed data, and Kruskal Wallis-H test was used for non-normally distributed data. According to the results of the Stroop Attention Test Total Error Number Analysis obtained from the study; There was no significant difference in boxing and archery branches (p>0.05), there was a significant difference in boxing and football branches (p<0.05), there was a significant difference between the control group and football branch (p<0.05), and there was no significant difference in archery and football branches (p >0.05) was determined.
