Abstract (EN)

During the construction of fixed prostheses, it is important to use a temporary restoration until the treatment is completed in order to protect the prepared teeth and to ensure patient comfort. Temporary restorations should be durable and aesthetic, provide function and stabilization, and protect the surrounding soft tissues as long as they remain in the mouth. Temporary fixed restorations may need to remain in the patient's mouth for a long time. An ideal temporary crown should not change color or appearance after production and use. The materials used in temporary crowns tend to absorb water due to their chemical structure. Therefore, their color may change when exposed to liquids such as distilled water, coffee, wine for a certain period of time. Different materials and methods are used when making temporary restorations. A better understanding of the relationship between resin type and color stability can help the dentist to choose the most suitable material for patients. This is why more research on resins and curing equipment is needed. In the future, research on new methods to improve the aesthetic and mechanical properties of dental materials should be continued to provide patients with the highest quality of care and satisfaction with dental treatment.
