Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effects of different types of wastewater on concrete strength. For this purpose, wastewater treatment plant effluent, poultry slaughterhouse effluent and solid waste landfill leachate were used instead of water used in concrete production. After the concrete samples were obtained, the compressive strength values of 7 and 28 days were determined. According to the results of the analysis, the average compressive strength values of the concrete that the treatment plant effluent is used were determined as 34.33 and 37.18 N/mm2 for 7 and 28 days. Average compressive strength values of the concrete using the effluent of the poultry slaughterhouse were found to be 32.49 and 36.56 N/mm2 for 7 and 28 days. Average compressive strength values of the concrete for 7 and 28 days, in which leachate was used, was determined as 31.35 and 34.69 N/mm2. As a result, it was determined that when wastewater treatment plant effluent is used instead of water, the 7 and 28 day compressive strength values decreased by 15.23% and 21.73% compared to the control, the 7 and 28 day compressive strength values were 19.78% and 24.31% when the poultry slaughterhouse effluent was used, and 7 and 28 days compressive strength values decreased by 22.59% and 28.18% compared to the control when leachate was used.
