Abstract (EN)
In this research development of Alder stands forest areas (ecosystem region) and the ralationships edaphic and physiographic factors have been studied in Trabzon, Artvin and Giresun.33 sample were taken in the study area, the edaphic and physiographic factors determined in each sample area. Soil texture, pH, organic matter, clay, sand and silt factors and on samples of wood of thespecific gravity, moisture, compression strength, paralel to grain, modulus of rupture (mor), modulus of elasticity and the dynamicbending (shock resistance) were determined. The relationship between these edaphic, physiographic factors and the growth of Alder stands and the effect of Alder wood on some physical and mechanical were defined by statichal analyis.
