Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of different origin peat materials and two different enso type containers on morphological attributes of container-grown seedlings of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Wych elm (Ulmus glabra Huds.) were investigated. When two different enso type containers were examined, fixed (adjacent) enso containers are more effective than Rocket (discrete) enso containers in terms of seedling height, seedling diameter, root and shoot dry weights in Wych elm and Scots pine seedlings. Growing media also significantly affected morphological attributes of container-grown seedlings of 2-0 Scots pine and Wych elm. According to the results of the study, using 25% indigenous peat moss added to mixtures of growing media (sphagnum moss peat) did not reduce seedling morphological parameters in Scots pine and Wych elm.
