Abstract (EN)
Sea algae as bio resource, have been used for centuries specially in Far East countries as human food, animal feed, industrial raw matter, and health sector. Several variety of products obtained from sea algae have been started to use widely in agriculture sector as bio stimulant. Algae which make an increase in soil organic matter enrich the micro and macro nutrients in the soil. Additionally, they create a optimum habitat for soil organism. Soil fertility show wide variety based on soil physical, chemical and biological factors. Soil biological structure is also very important in soil fertility. Because soil organism are very important in decomposition of soil organic matter and converting the plant feed elements into form that plant utilize. Seaweed, collected along Giresun coastal zone and zeolite were used as soil conditioner material. Collected along the coastal zone of Giresun on May with optimum conditions, Cystoseira barbata were washed with seawater several time to clean up from epiphytes, sediments and other organic matters. Then, samples were washed with tap water to remove salt and pollution and let them stay at room temperature for a day. Cleaned seaweed were mixed with tap water at a ratio of 1:1 algae/ water and boiled an hour after bringing to boiling point. Ready to use compost were mixed with zeolite and filled into pots. The study which carried out at Giresun Hazelnut Research Station were divided by eight treatments with three replicates each. Microorganism count were performed at laboratory conditions each month by taking soil samples from pots. After bean harvest, microorganism were counted by emptying the pots on November. The present study were design to investigate the effect of Cystoseira barbata, a brown sea algae species, extract and zeolite combinations at different ratios (extract and zeolite) on soil organisms.
